DADYMINDS Public Policy on Supporting Under-Represented Authors

At DADYMINDS, we are committed to amplifying the voices of under-represented authors and ensuring their stories reach a global audience. We believe that diverse perspectives enrich the literary landscape, and we strive to create opportunities for authors who have historically faced barriers within the publishing industry. This policy outlines our approach to supporting and collaborating with under-represented authors.

    Who We Support

Our definition of under-represented authors includes, but is not limited to, the following groups:

    1. Authors from Marginalized Racial or Ethnic Groups:

      • Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), including African, Asian, Latinx, Native American, and other ethnic minorities whose voices have been historically underrepresented in mainstream publishing.
    2. Authors with Disabilities:

      • Writers with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, or neurodivergent experiences. We aim to provide a platform for their unique perspectives.
    3. Authors from Lower Socioeconomic Backgrounds:

      • Writers who face financial or structural challenges that limit their access to publishing opportunities.
    4. Authors from Underserved Geographic Regions:

      • Writers from rural areas, developing nations, or regions with limited publishing resources and infrastructure access.
    5. Women and Non-Binary Authors in Male-Dominated Genres:

      • Authors who write in fields such as science fiction, fantasy, or crime fiction where representation has traditionally been limited.
    6. Religious and Cultural Minorities:

      • Writers whose faiths, cultural traditions, or practices are underrepresented or misunderstood in mainstream literature.
